BEACH WHEELCHAIR INFORMATION

*Use of the beach wheelchair is by appointment only and reservations will be made through Monterey Bay Kayaks at 693 Del Monte Avenue, Monterey, California 93940.

*Reservations are first come, first served, and are noted in the Monterey Bay Kayaks wheelchair calendar.

*All beach wheelchair users must have completed, signed and dated the "Beach Wheelchair Agreement" prior to using the beach wheelchair.

*It is very important that the person using the beach wheelchair thoroughly reviews the safety methods associated with the beach wheelchair.

*The beach wheelchair is free to use as a public service to our visitors.

Although Monterey Bay Kayaks, California State Parks, and the Monterey Junior Lifeguard Program, their officers, agents, employees, and all other persons or entities associated with these businesses have taken reasonable steps to provide you with appropriate equipment so you can enjoy activity for which you may not be skilled, we wish to remind you this activity is not without risk.

Certain risks cannot be eliminated without destroying the unique character of this activity. The same elements that contribute to the unique character of this activity can cause loss or damage to your equipment, accidental injury, illness, or in extreme cases, permanent trauma or death.

We do no wish to frighten you or reduce your enthusiasm for this activity, but we do think it is important for you to know in advance what to expect and to be informed of the inherent risks.
