TO REGISTER:
PLEASE NOTE: 2010 Applications will be available beginning March 1, 2010.
STEP 1) PICK UP OR DOWNLOAD ENROLLMENT APPLICATION PACKET
Pick up or download the 2010 Student Enrollment Application
and the Monterey
Bay Kayaks Release of Liability form. Application packets can also
be picked up at the California State Parks building located at 2211 Garden
Road in Monterey.
STEP 2) FILL OUT AND SIGN BOTH FORMS
Completely read, fill out and sign each form and write
a check or money order for the appropriate amount. *Checks should be made
out to the "California State Parks Monterey Junior Lifeguards".
WE DO NOT ACCEPT CASH!
STEP 3) MAIL IN OR DROP OFF COMPLETED APPLICATION PACKET
Mail in or drop off the completed Student Enrollment
Form, Monterey Bay Kayaks Release of Liability form, and check to the
California State Parks building at 2211 Garden Road in Monterey.
STEP 4) ATTEND PARENT MEETING
Parents of program participants should attend the Parent Orientation Meeting held at 6:00 p.m. at the Monterey Sports Center, prior to the tryout test.
ATTEND TRYOUTS
All new Junior Lifeguards must attend the tryout test
held at the Monterey Sports Center.
Tryout dates:
Session 1 - May 23, 2010 at 6:00 p.m.
Session 2 - July 27, 2010 at 6:00 p.m.
STEP 5) PICK UP UNIFORM ITEMS
Uniforms are required and are provided at near wholesale
prices by the Monterey Junior Lifeguard Program. Uniforms may be purchased
after both Parent Orientation Meetings, on the morning of the first day
of each session, or by appointment prior to the start of the JG Program.
